I have worked both locally and internationally on these projects.  I am looking for an artist who is interested in working on creating a mosaic mural in their community, wherever in the world that community might be.

A brief but concise description of my work:
I am a poet. In my work, I like to expand the parameters of form.
The type of collaboration I am interested in: DANCE or FILM/VIDEO. I would like to see my work performed. I am looking for a filmmaker, video artist and/or dancers who would like to make a short film from one of my poems. I have two poems in mind to choose from: either a poem with regular verse called 'Apartment' or a longer work with many parts called 'Identity.' Both poems have "flights of fancy" where something happens that does not happen in reality. With 'Identity,' since it is longer, I am open to a film that is "inspired" by the poem.

Type of collaborative interested in: I would love to work with a poet or possibly a novelist. Poetry is a huge influence on my work. The type of project itself could be pretty much anything. I don't think my work would be the best choice for children's literature, however.
Type of work I do: I do very detailed, process orientated pieces, usually in drawing media (sometimes printmaking) and on either a large scale or in a series. The end result is usually a piece made up of thousands of repeated shapes, like tiny circles, dots, or lines.

Country I am living in: Hong Kong

Statement/description of my works:
My recent works are interpretations of and comments on urban space and related issues, which are informed by my experience of living in a highly urbanised, capitalistic, and increasingly globalized environment in Hong Kong.

Urban space isn’t static. It changes and reflects interaction and negotiation between people and/or between people and organizations in power such as property developers and the government.

I am interested in exploring, examining, and investigating the negotiated space and what makes urban space unique.

Collaboration interest: i look forward to work with artists that work with any types of media, curators, writers, and performing artists who are interested in exploring the notion of urban space and relevant issues.

I am interested in the relationship between the second and third dimension. I would like to work with an installation artist who is interested in the idea of using drawing to emulate a truly physical space, who would like to blur the boundaries between these two realms. I work primarily on large scale charcoal and pastel drawings, concentrating on creating plausible space, I am interested in seeing how one would interpret my drawings as installations, and how my drawings can contribute to their sculptural works.  I prefer work in person, and on actual physical objects, rather than virtual. I am comfortable with metalworking, woodworking and have experience manipulating everyday materials, and found objects.

Two artists, Miriam Songster in NY (conceptual and installation art)
and Hege Dons Samset in Berlin (photography and video)
are starting a
photography-based project for The Transcultural Echange
(www.transculturalexchange.org/). We are looking for other people,
artists and non-artists alike, to participate by sharing photographs
with partners across the globe.
The basic idea behind the project is to use photographs to communicate
feelings about the weather. Over a two-week period you will send one
photo a day to your partner and they will send a photo back to you in
response. We are interested in the personal and sometimes subtle shifts
in emotion or mood that might be portrayed in the photos, so you can
use this project as a way to get to know someone better or to develop
ties to someone new.
Let us know if you have a partner in mind or if you want us to hook you
up with one, and if you have a preference for where that partner is
located (preferably someplace with different weather patterns than the
ones in your area). You might also choose to participate while you are
traveling and share your photos with a partner at home. And if your job
is weather-dependent we will be extremely happy if you participate.
All of the photo sets will be available via the project blog, which
will become a reference for both weather and emotion, across geography
and time. The project will take place over 9 months ending in March
2009 and you can choose to participate at any time during this period.
You have to commit to two weeks of photo swapping but you can continue
for as long as you want.
To participate please email Miriam at weatherphotos@spamex.com. There’s
no requirement for participation but please include some basic info
such as where you live, when you think you’ll want to share photos
(approximate dates), who you have in mind as a partner or where you
would like us to locate a partner for you, and a sentence or two
addressing why you’re interested in the project.

Nathaniel Kressen    USA

My work as a writer has predominantly been stage plays and film scripts, but I have dibbed and dabbled in prose as well. I am looking for ongoing collaboration with individuals from all artistic disciplines. Although I am unsure of what tangible products can be created though a "digital" partnership, I'd be inspired to write by artwork that has such a strong sense of itself that it demands an audience to enter its world. Anything that can't be shrugged off... Fierce, vibrant, whatever. But no wimpy art not allowed.

Marlene Ondrea     USA

My work centers around writing for performance, storytelling, and multi-media voice recordings about the length of a pop song. Currently, I'm performing my one person show "Seeing Voices" in New York City about those little voices in our heads who pop up whenever there's a choice to be made.
I'd be interested in collaborating with visual artists who'd like to work
with texts, filmmakers, multi-media artists, and other performance based artists. Ideally I'd like to work on a collaborative project that involves dance, projections, voice recordings, or music.

I would be very interested in collaborating with a writer to further push the boundaries of a portrait. Perhaps creating a body of work around a writer and using his/her writings as part of the portrait. Or collaborating with a writer to create a "portrait" of another subject.

I'm a writer (novels, creative nonfiction, poetry) interested in collaborating with visual artists and filmmakers. My work
is lyrical and experimental, but grounded in progressive political concerns. I work from a feminist perspective,
and I'm especially interested in art that examines women's lives and/or queer issues.

Ella Veres

I am a writer/performer very much interested in collaborating with
visual/video artists, musicians, dancers, film makers.
My work is verbose, at times interested in social change, at times
lost in navel gazing. Overall I'm told is poetic, comedic, never
repetitive. And modest.
I am based in NYC but was born in Transylvania, Romania, and wish to
collaborate all over the place.
